A Dreamwish Christmas

The roots of my obsession with Marx Playsets lie in the fond memories of Christmas mornings when I was a kid.  From the time I was 4 or 5 until I was 10 or 11, each Christmas a playset would be under the tree. when I was 4 in 1960 there was a Ben Hur and an Alamo.when I was 5.  At some point there were Fort Apaches, Blue and the Grays, Battlegrounds including the Battleground terrain one year, an Iwo Jima, a Roy Rogers Ranch, a Cape Canaveral and a Farm Set. I know I looked at the Sears Wishbook each year, but i don't remember ever being aware of most of the TV show related sets I now covet so much as a collector.  Back in 2015, I decided to create my own Dream Christmas. I got the Nostalgia Toys versions of the Gunsmoke, Wagon Train and Johnny Ringo boxes.  I had the resin Character figures from the amazing Larry Patterson of P&P Products. And I took current issue wagons and figures and accessories and painted them to match the original colors.  I added the appropriate tin litho buidings, and "Voila!"...The best Christmas I could ever imagine.
